    A slow growing stately NATIVE which needs lots of space. Has a rough, corky bark and the fringed acorns are produced in large numbers, making it a very useflu native tree. Grows 60'-80'.

    A cross between the Burr and English Oaks, this is a faster grower than the Burr Oak. Abundant acorns are good for wildlife. Likes sun in moist to dry soils.

    A nice NATIVE, good for specimen or naturalizing. Grows 40'-50'.

    NATIVE similar and often confused with Quercus prinus, but will grow larger. Provides good quality, sweet tasting acorns which are much desired by wildlife. Grows 40'-50'.

    This NATIVE prefers moist to wet soils, but can grow in a dryer site. This fast growing cultivar, up to 2' a year, does not perform well in a high pH soil.

    NATIVE with Willow shaped leaves, this large growing tree will be 40'-50' high. A nice specimin.

    This underused NATIVE grows on rocky ridges, but performs well in moist, well-drained soils. Transplants well and grows 1'-2' per year. Acorns are a favorite of wildlife.

    The deeply cut leaves of this NATIVE are in the Red Oak family. It will grow 1'-2' per year. It is tolerant of dry sites and is often used as a street tree.

    A hardy, disease resistant, dwarf Lilac. Profusion of fragrant lavender flowers in May. Heart shaped foliage can have orange/red fall color. Grows to 6'x6' in a sunny site. Prune after plant blooms.

  • Ulmus americana     AMERICAN ELM
    'Princeton' - A heritage plant, the Princeton Elm is a selection from 1922 that has shown good resistance to Dutch Elm Disease. Fast growing, 2'-3' per year, it will ultimately reach 50'-60' high and 30'-40' wide. Likes sun and average to moist soil, and needs some space to grow. These are from rooted cuttings, NOT grafted or from seed.

    A white flowering NATIVE shrub with purple berries in the fall. This durable shrub is good in sun or shade as a hedge or for naturalizing.
